Tribute Song by Jason Buhr

Tribute Song by Jason Buhr

The Lessard|Nichols Scholarship Fund has been established to provide financial support to qualifying candidates enrolling at the Manitoba Emergency Services College in Brandon, Manitoba.

It's all about making fire and life safety fun at Staying Alive . I was involved with this non-profit organization for years because as much as we firefighters love our jobs, we prefer to see people access fire safety information and put it into practice so that we don't get called out for ‘professional visits.'

In February, 2007 following the tragic loss of fellow fire fighters Harold Lessard and Tom Nicholls, Winnipeg firefighter Jason Buhr penned his thoughts and emotions into the lyrics of "Unite Our Hearts Today" paying tribute not only to the bravery of his fallen brothers, but to all firefighters.
